I've got tons to say, but am sadly lacking in the cranial coherency to adequately express it all. It has been a LONG week, but things seem to be sorting themselves out.
First off. Beach Trip. Yes, there was another one. And yes, I'm headed back next week. I can't get enough of the ocean.
So Anne and I headed up to Astoria. For those of you who aren't in the know when it comes to Oregon Coastal cities, Astoria = Hollywood. At least for the northwestern folks. A slew of movies have been made in full or in part in Astoria. Kindergarden Cop, Short Circuit, The Ring, The Ring 2, and The Goonies. We decided that on this trip, we would make a point of tracking down all the scenes from The Ring. I left my digital camera at home, so we relied upon my cell phone for some simple (but significant) visual aide. I'll be headed back there next week, armed with my trusty Powershot and a new outlook on the small city.
